DMG America has announced the U.S. commercial launch of Flairesse Bleaching Gel CP, a line of professional, carbamide peroxide-based take-home bleaching products designed for dental whitening and the management of enamel discoloration.
The line includes three formulations containing 5%, 10%, and 16% carbamide peroxide. According to DMG, the 5% and 10% formulations are intended for patients younger than 18 to improve the appearance of developmental enamel opacities associated with fluorosis, trauma, and enamel defects as part of medical treatment. These formulations are also intended to address discoloration of permanent teeth resulting from medical treatments.
For adult patients, the 10% and 16% formulations are indicated for whitening intrinsic and extrinsic discolorations without the use of an overhead light.
DMG states that Flairesse Bleaching Gel CP can be incorporated into its Icon Smooth Surface Infiltration Concept, a minimally invasive approach to treating enamel opacities. The company recommends using the 5% or 10% formulation before resin infiltration to help white spot lesions blend with surrounding enamel.
For this application, DMG recommends its DentaMile 3D-printed bleaching trays. According to the company, the trays are designed to provide a flexible, precision fit intended to limit gel contact with gingival tissues and improve patient comfort.
With Flairesse Bleaching Gel CP, we re bringing whitening, Icon resin infiltration and DentaMile bleaching trays together in a streamlined, minimally invasive workflow. This launch reflects our commitment to giving dental professionals practical solutions that support patient comfort while helping them address discoloration and enamel opacities with confidence, said Mark Trimmer, general manager of DMG America.
The Flairesse formulations contain carbamide peroxide and potassium nitrate. According to DMG, the carbamide peroxide formulation is intended to provide gradual whitening, while potassium nitrate is included to address tooth sensitivity during treatment.
The company states that all three formulations meet the material property requirements of DIN EN ISO 28399 using a take-home protocol involving a minimum application time of one hour per day over 10 days. According to DMG, the treatment requires a single resealable 5-mL syringe.
DMG manufactures dental materials and equipment, including restorative products, caries infiltration materials, and 3D printing solutions. Its portfolio includes Luxatemp, LuxaCore Z Dual, Icon, and DentaMile, which encompasses software, hardware, and resins for dental and laboratory applications.
Flairesse Bleaching Gel CP, Icon, and DentaMile products are available through dental product distributors and partner laboratories throughout the United States. More information is available at www.dmg-america.com.
