Dentsply Sirona Academy announced two educational programs led by Lyndon F. Cooper, DDS, PhD, and Michael Norton, BDS, FDS RCS(Ed), scheduled across eight cities in the United States and Canada from October through December 2026, according to a company press release.
The series will address scientific evidence related to implant treatment planning, clinical decision-making, and factors that may influence implant outcomes. Each evening session is scheduled from 6 to 9 PM local time.
The first program, “Connecting Immediacy and Longevity of Dental Implant Success,” will be presented by Dr. Cooper and will examine the relationship between immediate implant treatment protocols and long-term outcomes. Topics will include clinical factors affecting treatment planning and the predictability of implant outcomes.
Sessions are scheduled for October 15 in Boston, Massachusetts; October 29 in Vancouver, Canada; November 4 in Orlando, Florida; November 5 in Houston, Texas; December 9 in Montreal, Canada; and December 10 in Toronto, Canada.
The second program, “Understanding Bone Health by Design,” will be presented by Dr. Norton and will address the role of bone health in implant treatment. Discussions will address clinical principles associated with long-term outcomes, including how implant design and biological factors may influence treatment success.
Sessions are scheduled for November 18 in Newport Beach, California, and November 19 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mark Bezjak, group vice president of the Americas Regional Commercial Organization at Dentsply Sirona, said the programs are intended to provide opportunities for clinicians to examine scientific evidence, exchange perspectives with experts, and consider how evolving evidence may inform clinical decisions.
The education series is part of Dentsply Sirona Academy’s continuing education offerings, which include in-person programs, webinars, courses, and on-demand educational resources. According to the company, these activities are intended to support the development of clinical knowledge and skills among dental professionals across multiple disciplines.
