DSN Software has introduced DSN Atlas, a browser-based practice management platform designed for oral surgery, periodontics, and endodontics practices. According to the company, the platform incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and is designed to operate across desktop and mobile devices.
The platform combines scheduling, clinical records, imaging, billing, payment processing, and AI-driven tools within a single browser-based system. Because it is cloud-based, Atlas does not require local software installation or on-site server maintenance.
A central feature of the platform is Ask Atlas, an AI assistant that connects to a practice's live patient data. Users can retrieve patient charts, generate reports and dashboards, and review referral status through voice or text commands. According to the company, clinicians can also access patient information during procedures using voice commands. Additional features include a Referral Hub for managing incoming referrals and mobile prescription capabilities that allow clinicians to send prescriptions from a smartphone.
"Specialty practices have been stuck choosing between modern software built for general dentistry and aging systems built for their specialty," said Sam Munakl, CEO of DSN Software. "Atlas ends that tradeoff. It is the platform our customers already trust, rebuilt for speed and built around the way oral surgeons, periodontists, and endodontists actually work."
DSN Software said Atlas builds on its existing practice management platform, which was developed specifically for dental surgical specialties rather than adapted from general dentistry software.
The company also reported that its customers have experienced positive return on investment within nine months on average, along with a 40% increase in administrative productivity, a 15% increase in case acceptance, and a 50% reduction in time spent on clinical documentation. These performance metrics were reported by the company.
According to DSN Software, existing customers can transition to Atlas while retaining their current data and settings, with implementation support and migration timelines tailored to individual practices.
