Investment Grade Practice™, powered by Productive Dentist Academy, has introduced the Investment Grade Practice Assessment, a practice evaluation tool designed to help dentists assess the operational and financial health of their practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
According to the company, the assessment is intended to provide a broader evaluation of practice performance than traditional indicators such as production or scheduling. It examines factors that may influence long-term sustainability, including operational efficiency, leadership, profitability, and practice systems.
The assessment evaluates six practice domains: profitability and practice value, culture and leadership, authentic marketing, clinical calibration, systems and scheduling, and communication skills.
“Dentists are facing more decisions and complexity than ever before,” says PDA Co-founder and CEO Victoria Peterson. “Before making major changes in your practice, it’s important to understand where you are today. The assessment helps dental practice owners make sense of the data that already exists in the practice, and discover opportunities so they can strengthen the long-term value of the business, create more confidence for scalability, and identify which areas hold the greatest potential for impact.”
Upon completion, participants receive an Investment Grade Practice score along with a personalized report identifying strengths, potential gaps, and areas for improvement.
The company says the assessment is designed to help practice owners better understand how business systems, leadership, and clinical operations contribute to overall practice performance.
“One of the biggest challenges facing modern dental practices is understanding the relationship between production, profitability, and true revenue integrity,” says Peterson.
The assessment is based on the company's Investment Grade Practice operating system, which provides a framework for evaluating how practice systems, team dynamics, patient care philosophy, and business strategy interact to support long-term growth.
“An Investment Grade Practice operating system is built around the doctor’s philosophy of care. It aligns teams, and creates confident communication,” says Peterson. “When those pieces work together, doctors gain more control over their business and their future.”
According to the company, the assessment is intended for practice owners at various stages of their careers, including those seeking to improve profitability, reduce insurance dependence, strengthen team performance, prepare for a future transition, or evaluate opportunities for practice growth.
