Align Technology has introduced a series of updates to its Align Digital Platform that expand treatment planning, patient visualization, and restorative workflow capabilities for Invisalign treatment and digital dentistry.
According to the company, the new features include updates to the Align Oral Health Suite, Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro, ClinCheck software, iTero Design Suite, and Invisalign Smile Architect software. The enhancements are intended to help clinicians communicate oral health conditions and treatment options, support treatment planning, and streamline restorative and orthodontic workflows.

According to the company, the Align Oral Health Suite now integrates AI-powered Align X-ray Insights and includes a gumline visualization tool to help clinicians identify and explain oral health conditions, including interproximal caries and potential gingival recession. Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro adds Arch controls and an Occlusogram to illustrate treatment approaches and occlusion, while the new 3D Tissue Animation feature in ClinCheck software simulates potential facial soft tissue changes by the end of Invisalign treatment.

According to Align Technology, Invisalign Smile Architect now includes a preferences template and a Dual Flex prescription option to support integrated orthodontic-restorative treatment planning, while iTero Design Suite adds AI-powered crown and bridge design and an AI splint feature.

According to the company, the announcements build on previously introduced additions to the Align Digital Platform, including the Invisalign Specifix Attachment System, Invisalign integrated buttons, the Invisalign Palatal Expander System with integrated hook features, and the Invisalign clear aligner custom trimline option.
