Aspen Dental has announced that its annual Day of Service will take place on November 7, 2026, with participating practices nationwide providing free dental care to military veterans. The event also marks the beginning of a new 5-year commitment to expand the company's Healthy Mouth Movement initiative, with a goal of providing up to $100 million in donated dental care and oral health services to underserved patients.
According to Aspen Dental, the initiative is intended to improve access to care through a combination of community partnerships, local practice initiatives, comprehensive care programs at the TAG Oral Care Center for Excellence, and longstanding programs such as Day of Service.
The announcement comes amid ongoing concerns about access to dental care for veterans. Although many veterans receive healthcare through the US Department of Veterans Affairs, only about one-quarter qualify for VA dental benefits, leaving many without routine access to oral healthcare.
"Nearly 30 years ago, Aspen Dental was founded on the idea that everyone deserves access to quality oral healthcare," said Bob Fontana, chairman and CEO of The Aspen Group and founder of Aspen Dental. "As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, we're making a commitment that matches the scale of the need and builds a legacy of serving those who have served our country."
Over the next five years, Aspen Dental plans to provide donated dental care through the expanded Healthy Mouth Movement, with the stated goal of reaching thousands of underserved patients nationwide.
The company's annual Day of Service remains a central component of that effort. On November 7, participating Aspen Dental offices will provide free dental treatment to eligible veterans.
"Day of Service has always been about more than dentistry," said Dr. Arwinder Judge, chief clinical officer at Aspen Dental. "It's about recognizing sacrifice, restoring dignity, and giving teams an opportunity to serve those who have served us. Bringing it back as the nation marks its 250th anniversary makes the moment even more meaningful."
Since the program began in 2014, Aspen Dental reports that Day of Service has provided care to more than 30,000 veterans, delivering more than $28 million in donated dental services and more than 21,000 hours of volunteer care through participating practices nationwide.
Veterans interested in receiving care during the 2026 Day of Service can register to be notified when appointment schedules become available in late September through Aspen Dental's website.
