Komet USA has introduced EnDrive, a wireless endodontic motor developed to support working length control, reduce instrumentation-related complications, and streamline root canal procedures in general and specialty practices.
The device was designed to address common clinical and workflow challenges associated with endodontic instrumentation, including reliance on multiple devices, inconsistent working length measurements, and limited compatibility with file systems.
“EnDrive represents our commitment to simplifying complex endodontic procedures while maintaining the highest standards of care,” said Dr. Satya Nadimpalli, Komet USA Endodontic Product Manager. “By focusing on real-world clinical pain points, we’ve created a solution that integrates seamlessly into everyday practice.”
EnDrive incorporates an integrated apex locator that provides continuous working length measurement during instrumentation, allowing clinicians to monitor canal progression without switching between devices. The system also includes visual indicators and apex-based auto functions intended to support instrumentation accuracy near the apex. An electrically insulated contra-angle is designed to help minimize false readings during treatment.
The motor includes torque control features with real-time visual feedback, as well as auto-stop and auto-reverse functions intended to help reduce torsional stress on files during canal shaping. These functions are designed to support controlled instrumentation across varying canal anatomies.
EnDrive is compatible with rotary and reciprocating file systems and includes preset torque and speed settings stored within the motor. Built-in file libraries and customizable sequences allow clinicians to use preferred file systems while adjusting protocols based on individual case requirements.
The cordless, battery-powered design and touchscreen interface are intended to support operatory efficiency and simplify setup and operation during treatment.
According to the company, EnDrive was developed to support continuous working length monitoring, compatibility across multiple file systems and consistent control throughout root canal instrumentation.
Additional information about EnDrive, including demonstration requests, is available through Komet USA and its sales representatives.
