Dentsply Sirona and America’s ToothFairy have renewed their collaboration to expand oral health education for children, families and underserved communities across the United States. According to the company, the partnership aligns with Dentsply Sirona’s sustainability strategy “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World” and includes a $5,000 donation to fund free educational resources for schools, community programs and dental professionals.
The initiative, organized during National Dental Hygiene Month, reached more than 170,000 children and caregivers in 44 states and in countries, including Canada, Greece, Italy, and Peru. A total of 167 organizations downloaded and distributed the materials, while 151 participants accessed social media kits designed to amplify the message online. Materials were used by schools, libraries, public health departments, community centers and dental clinics to teach the importance of oral health and its connection to overall health.
Local impact in North Carolina was highlighted through the involvement of organizations such as InReach, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and Currituck County Schools, which used the resources to educate families statewide.
“Dentsply Sirona’s support amplifies oral health education far beyond the dental community,” said Jill Malmgren, executive director of America’s ToothFairy. “Thanks to their leadership, local organizations across North Carolina and around the world are equipped to help families understand how healthy smiles contribute to lifelong well‑being.”
“Our partnership with America’s ToothFairy reflects our shared belief that access to oral healthcare begins with education,” said Andrea Frohning, senior vice president, chief human resources officer, at Dentsply Sirona. “Through initiatives like My Smile Matters, we are helping to empower children and families to take charge of their oral health – locally in Charlotte, across the US and globally. This is what sustainability means to us: creating lasting, positive impact for people and communities.”
According to the organization, America’s ToothFairy has provided oral health resources since 2006, reaching more than 16 million children and caregivers to protect smiles from tooth decay.
