Dentalhitec Americas has announced the US availability of the QuickSleeper5, a computer-assisted intraosseous anesthesia system, following FDA clearance. The system has been widely used by clinicians across Europe, EMEA, and China, where it has been integrated into routine dental practice.
Attendees at Dentsply Sirona World 2025, to be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 25–26 will have the opportunity to observe the system in action at Booth #226.
The QuickSleeper5 is designed to deliver local anesthesia directly into the cancellous bone, allowing for immediate onset and minimizing or eliminating the collateral numbness commonly associated with traditional techniques. According to the manufacturer, the device enables clinicians to begin treatment without delay and may reduce the need for supplemental injections.
By bypassing soft tissue and targeting the bone directly, the system aims to facilitate procedures that are both more comfortable for the patient and more efficient for the clinician. Potential benefits may include shorter appointment times, improved patient throughput, and scheduling predictability.
“Anesthesia has been reinvented time and time again, but until now it has never truly eliminated fear for patients,” said Kim Diamond, President of Dentalhitec Americas. “The QuickSleeper5 represents a true revolution giving dentists the ability to deliver anesthesia with unparalleled precision and comfort, while motivating patients to finally walk into the dental office without hesitation.”
Diamond added, “We already have a large waiting list in the United States, and we are excited to see this early demand from American clinicians. It's clear the profession is eager for a better, faster, and more comfortable way to deliver anesthesia.”
The QuickSleeper5 system reflects a continued evolution in local anesthetic techniques and aims to address ongoing clinical challenges around pain management, appointment duration, and patient anxiety.
“As a dentist, I developed Dentalhitec devices with one goal: to make anesthesia truly painless. This was never just innovation, it was a commitment to patient comfort,” said Dr. Alain Villette, Founder of Dentalhitec.
“The QuickSleeper5 is more than a device, it's a new standard of care,” said Jeremy Villette, VP, Global Product & Innovation. “We're thrilled to empower American dentists with technology that accelerates procedures, supports practice growth, and turns fearful patients into lifelong advocates.”
Key clinical considerations include:
- Immediate onset of profound anesthesia enables treatment to begin without delay
- Computer-guided injections may increase consistency and reduce discomfort
- No collateral numbness: patients maintain full function of surrounding tissues
- Facilitates multi-quadrant treatment in a single visit
- Potential practice efficiency gains through reduced chair time and fewer follow-ups
- Established use internationally, with millions of injections reportedly delivered
Clinicians interested in observing the QuickSleeper5 in use are encouraged to attend the live demonstrations during Dentsply Sirona World 2025.
