3Shape has announced an upcoming leadership transition involving Dr. Rune Fisker, who will step down from his position as Senior Vice President of Product Strategy after more than two decades with the company. Fisker will continue his involvement with 3Shape as External Executive Advisor to CEO Jacob Paulsen.
Since joining 3Shape in its formative years, Fisker has played a key role in shaping the company's approach to digital dentistry. His contributions include leading the development of early intraoral scanning technologies and establishing the company's long-term product vision.
“Rune’s dedication, energy, and relentless pursuit of innovation have been invaluable in building 3Shape into the global market leader it is today,” said Jacob Paulsen, CEO of 3Shape. “We are delighted that Rune will continue to contribute in his new capacity, working directly with me to guide our next chapter.”
As part of the transition, 3Shape has begun the search for a new Senior Vice President of Product Strategy. This individual will join the company’s Senior Leadership Team and report directly to the CEO. In the interim, Chief Technology Officer Niclas Blohm will serve as acting lead for the Product Strategy group.
Fisker’s new advisory role underscores both his long-standing influence within 3Shape and his continued involvement in guiding the company’s innovation agenda. While no longer part of day-to-day operations, he will remain engaged in strategic initiatives aimed at advancing digital workflows in dentistry.
