Pac-Dent, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Taiwan-based Ackuretta Technologies, a developer of chairside and laboratory 3D printing hardware for dentistry. According to the company, the acquisition is intended to accelerate its efforts to create an open and interoperable digital dental ecosystem.
Established in 2013, Ackuretta manufactures a range of dental 3D printing solutions, including SOL and SOL Plus printers, CLEANI washers, and CURIE and CURIE Plus curing units. Its offerings also include the ALPHA AI CAM software platform, which enables workflow automation in clinical and laboratory environments.
Pac-Dent stated that the integration of Ackuretta’s printer platform and software will enhance its existing portfolio, which includes Rodin dental 3D printing resins and 3D printing–oriented restorative materials. According to the company, it is working toward solutions that integrate materials, software, and hardware to streamline digital workflows.
“The most important aspect of this acquisition is how it amplifies our open-system vision,” said Daniel Wang, CEO of Pac-Dent. “By combining best-in-class materials, intelligent software, and versatile hardware, we are building the most accessible and adaptable digital dentistry platform on the market. Just as important, we are thrilled to welcome Ackuretta’s outstanding international team — spanning Taiwan, France, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, South America, and the Middle East. Their expertise strengthens our innovation pipeline, enhances product reliability, and expands global customer support.”
Pac-Dent emphasized that it will continue to support and collaborate with other hardware manufacturers as part of its open-system approach. The company stated that many third-party dental 3D printer brands are already validated for use with its materials and that additional platforms will continue to be added through an ongoing program.
The acquisition also includes plans to expand customer service and technical support for Ackuretta hardware in North America. According to Pac-Dent, it is preparing front-line technical support teams with direct escalation paths to engineering, stocking spare parts through U.S. distribution, and developing training materials to assist with setup, calibration, and validated workflows.
The company said these resources will support clinicians and labs transitioning to integrated production using Ackuretta printers and Rodin-validated workflows. Support staff will also be prepared to provide guidance on compatible accessories and setup processes.
Pac-Dent stated that this acquisition aligns with other initiatives currently underway, including new digital workflow platforms, partnerships related to design and metal printing, and ongoing work in AI-enabled data acquisition and chairside treatment solutions.
Pac-Dent is headquartered in Brea, California, with operations across two campuses supporting corporate, research and development, and manufacturing activities. The company operates an FDA-registered, ISO 13485–certified, and MDSAP-audited manufacturing facility in Camarillo, California, and maintains educational and laboratory research centers in Fullerton and Las Vegas. A new R&D center in Temecula is scheduled for completion in October 2025. Pac-Dent also maintains manufacturing operations in China and Taiwan.
The company has provided dental products and solutions for over 33 years. Its portfolio includes preventive care and infection-control products, restorative materials, and the Rodin line of 3D printing resins.
Ackuretta supports clinics and laboratories through a global distribution network, with a focus on integrating validated materials and automation tools into chairside and lab-based workflows.
According to Pac-Dent, the combined capabilities of both companies will support a broader range of integrated digital dentistry solutions, from data acquisition and processing to 3D printing and restorative applications.
