Microcopy recently teamed up with Cary Goldstein, DMD to create a series of short, educational videos demonstrating a variety of clinical techniques including veneer preparations, occlusal preparations, and amalgam removal.
With most of the videos clocking in at around just 2-minutes in length, the video series is designed to offer clinicians quick tips and technique references on both diamond and carbide selection, as well as techniques for using the chosen burs. Dr Goldstein, who founded the Goldstein Dental Center in Atlanta, and serves as a member of of the Inside Dentistry editorial advisory board offers straightforward advice and demonstrates the techniques he presents using specific Microcopy instruments and a typodont.
Thus far there are 30 videos featuring Dr Goldstein with titles such as, "Why Pear-Shaped 245 Carbides Are Amalgam Removal Legends" and "Tiny Burs, Big Results: Why Dr. Goldstein Doesn’t Fight in the Back of the Mouth" along with a 3 video series documenting different steps for prepping veneers. Those 3 videos highlight how each successive step in the process benefits from the previous one. Other videos offer tips on effective crown preparation, interproximal reduction, and the benefits of single use burs.
The full video series, along with other videos from Microcopy can be found on the Microcopy YouTube Channel.
