PDS Health has introduced PDS Health Technologies, a new division focused on providing technology solutions, revenue cycle services, and operational support to healthcare organizations.
Having invested in infrastructure aimed at supporting integrated, data-informed care over the past 10 years, PDS Health has been able to adopt the Epic® electronic health record (EHR) system across its supported practices, integrating dental and medical records to offer a more complete view of patient histories. The system is now active in more than 1,000 locations.
With the launch of PDS Health Technologies, the organization is extending its Epic Community Connect services to external providers. This enables other healthcare organizations to access a shared medical-dental EHR platform, along with training, technical support, and system management services.
“PDS Health Technologies builds on our long-standing commitment to supporting providers with the systems and expertise to deliver integrated, connected care,” said Stephen E. Thorne IV, founder and CEO of PDS Health. “By expanding these capabilities to a broader network of healthcare organizations, we are accelerating the adoption of smarter, more integrated solutions and improving the way care is delivered.”
In addition to EHR services, PDS Health Technologies offers revenue cycle management, consulting for technology and operations, and staffing support for implementation and leadership development.
The new division is being headed by Preston Raulerson, who brings more than two decades of experience in healthcare technology. He has previously held roles at organizations including Optum, The Advisory Board Company, Clinovations, Epic Systems, and Bon Secours. As president of PDS Health Technologies, Raulerson is responsible for overseeing its strategy and operations.
According to the organization, the goal of PDS Health Technologies is to streamline care delivery through integrated records, coordinated workflows, and operational support.
