DEXIS will present a range of new advancements at the International Dental Show (IDS) 2025 in Cologne, Germany, offering dental professionals a firsthand look at new technologies within its digital ecosystem. The company’s innovations include updates to its intraoral scanning portfolio, 3D imaging solutions, and integrated software tools designed to streamline dental workflows and improve patient care.
DEXIS will highlight its AI-powered platform, which integrates 2D and 3D imaging, intraoral scanning, diagnostics, and treatment planning into one cohesive system. This digital ecosystem aims to simplify workflows, enhance diagnostic accuracy, and increase productivity across dental practices.
“We’re excited to give IDS attendees the very first look at some of our new technology,” said Robert Befidi, president of DEXIS. “All of our innovations are designed to improve patient interactions and make dental practices more effective and efficient. We’re eager to put our products into the hands of dental professionals and demonstrate the full potential of what our new technology can do.”
One of the standout features of DEXIS’ showcase will be the Imprevo intraoral scanner. This new device is under development and is set to become the high-performance flagship of the DEXIS intraoral scanner line. With a redesigned structure, updated hardware, and an AI-powered algorithm, Imprevo promises enhanced precision and speed for dental practices.
Additionally, the IS ScanFlow 2.0 software, which powers DEXIS intraoral scanners, will be unveiled with a new feature called Smile Visualizer. This tool allows dental professionals to present patients with a realistic preview of their smile before and after treatment, helping to facilitate patient understanding and decision-making.
DEXIS will also reveal updates to its ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH™ OP 3D™ EX, including the addition of cephalometric imaging capabilities. This new modality will feature the company’s patented ORTHOceph™ Plus design, providing essential protocols such as lateral projections, pediatric lateral projections, posterior-anterior projections, and carpus imaging with quick scan times and low doses.
Further innovations in the DEXIS 3D imaging portfolio include an Automatic Dose Control feature for the ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH™ OP 3D™ LX. This feature automatically adjusts exposure levels based on patient anatomy, ensuring optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
“The new Automatic Dose Control is one of the few things in life I don’t have to question,” said Dr. Katya Archambault of San Diego Health Center. “It offers both better and more consistent image quality. I could never argue with the results.”
DEXIS will also showcase updates to DTX Studio™ Clinic, the core software of its digital ecosystem. New features include a Face Scan tool that integrates facial scans with 3D X-rays to improve treatment planning and an Assisted Implant Planning tool that automates initial implant positioning. Additionally, the software will introduce an AI-driven endodontic capability for more accurate root canal visualization, along with updates to its focus areas detection tool, which improves the identification of dental conditions on intraoral X-rays.
In another update, DTX Studio Clinic will launch a cloud-based solution to consolidate patient data and facilitate collaboration among dental professionals, which aims to improve practice efficiency and patient outcomes.
DEXIS invites IDS attendees to visit Hall 11.2 K050 L069 for demonstrations and further information on these innovations.
