Align Technology, Inc., announced that Jennifer L. Davis, former CEO of Procter & Gamble’s Global Healthcare business, would succeed Joseph M. Hogan as president and CEO on December 31, 2026. Hogan had held the position since 2015.
Davis was scheduled to join Align as CEO-elect and a member of its Board of Directors on November 2, 2026, working with Hogan during the leadership transition. Hogan was expected to retire from the Board following its June 16, 2027, strategy meeting.
Davis had 33 years of experience in business leadership, including innovation, digital transformation, commercialization, and management of global organizations. At Procter & Gamble, Davis managed a multibillion-dollar healthcare portfolio encompassing oral-health and personal-health brands, with responsibilities spanning business strategy, operational performance, product innovation, and customer relations.
Kevin Conroy, chairman of Align’s Board of Directors, cited Davis’ experience in consumer healthcare and oral-health businesses as relevant to the company’s plans to expand the Invisalign brand and its role in digital oral health.
During Hogan’s tenure, Align expanded its global presence, strengthened the Invisalign brand, and advanced the Align Digital Platform. Its digital dentistry portfolio included Invisalign clear aligners, iTero intraoral scanners, and exocad CAD/CAM software. These technologies are used in digital orthodontic and restorative dentistry workflows.
According to Align, its technologies and services support more than 307,000 dental professional customers. The company also reported that approximately 24.2 million patients have received Invisalign treatment over its 29-year history.
Align identified increased adoption of digital workflows and expanded use of its technologies as potential business opportunities. Davis expressed plans to work with Align employees, dental professionals, business partners, and shareholders as she assumed leadership of the company.
