Oral appliance therapy, managed by orthodontists, is the first-line treatment for patients with OSA who do not respond to or who do not wish to use continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). Providing a minimally invasive alterative to CPAP and surgery, appliance therapy has been found to be effective and popular among patients with OSA. This article describes the currently available appliance designs and materials, and explains how they work.

Digital Platform Facilitates Successful Facially Driven Orthodontic–Restorative Treatment

This case report article discusses how state-of-the-art software was used to create a virtual orthodontic-restorative treatment outcome with virtual restorations in a 28-year-old patient who had undergone orthodontics during adolescence but who had experienced a relapse in tooth movement. The treatment planning platform described in this article allows the clinician to plan orthodontic and restorative treatment simultaneously.
