Tokuyama Dental's OMNICHROMA Delivers Any Shade With One Composite
As the owner of a private general and cosmetic dentistry practice in suburban Los Angeles, James Chae, DDS, strives to provide extraordinary service with honesty and dedication, and so does his team. Having been a practitioner for almost two decades, his experience, along with his commitment to excellent customer service, has prompted him to be highly selective about the composite restorative materials he uses. His latest composite of choice is Tokuyama Dental's OMNICHROMA.

OMNICHROMA provides a single shade of composite that is clinically proven to match the color of any tooth while offering high polishability and excellent physical-mechanical properties. OMNICHROMA is said to be the first dental composite formula to match any shade from A1 to D4 with a single shade of composite.
"OMNICHROMA is unique in that it blends well with any tooth shade, even shades that are challenging to match," Chae observes. "It can be readily adjusted and polished, and the final restoration looks very natural. My patients never leave our office without seeing ‘before' and ‘after' photos of their procedures, so it is important that their restorations look as natural as possible from the time they leave the chair."
Chae also favors OMNICHROMA because of its ability to be used for Class I, II, III, IV, and V restorations. "Most frequently, I use it for Class V restorations," he affirms. "Typically, these are very challenging procedures due to the need to match the root surface of the tooth. With OMNICHROMA, this is not a problem."
In working with Class IV restorations, Chae notes that the OMNICHROMA BLOCKER can be used in conjunction with OMNICHROMA. "The OMNICHROMA BLOCKER can be applied when there is missing tooth surface, as it blocks the background of the mouth and creates a lingual shell to support the composite material," he attests.
Because of the ability of OMNICHROMA to blend with any tooth shade, Chae says that in addition to not having to worry about selecting the right shade he no longer needs to supply his practice with many different composite shades to achieve natural-looking restorations. This, he claims, reduces his inventory and overhead costs.
While Tokuyama Dental offers ample support to clinicians using its products, Chae says he has not required any with OMNICHROMA because of its reliability and ease of use. "In my opinion, OMNICHROMA, like other bonding and composite materials from Tokuyama Dental, is such a great product that I've had no need to receive additional support from the manufacturer. OMNICHROMA works well for a wide range of restorative procedures while also taking the guesswork out of shade selection," he states. "I recommend all dentists performing restorations try it for themselves."
