Rounding Into Shape
Compendium features peer-reviewed articles and continued education opportunities on restorative techniques, clinical insights, and dental innovations, offering essential knowledge for dental professionals.
Students who take on a broad subject range reportedly tend to be creative, persistent, good communicators, and skillful collaborators. Many educators believe exposure to a variety of academic challenges helps learners succeed in life. While dental practitioners are often inclined to settle into areas in which they are proficient, taking a well-balanced approach to continuing education may enhance one's ability to tackle more clinical challenges, expand his or her talents, and improve overall performance.

Also in the interest of widening our editorial scope, we are ringing in the new year with some exciting personnel announcements. As you'll see on our Advisory Board page (p.6), Compendium has added several notable experts to assist in our quest for excellence. Dr. Stephen J. Chu, an accomplished author, lecturer, and practitioner in the areas of esthetic, restorative, and implant dentistry, now serves as Executive Editor. He will be instrumental in helping identify significant topics and developments impacting oral health and the dental industry at large.
In addition, Dr. Gary Orentlicher, a leader in dental implantology, is now Section Editor of our new Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery section. Well-known throughout dentistry as a specialist in 3D virtual treatment planning, Dr. Orentlicher will provide oversight and help guide article acquisition in this emerging area of practice.
Finally, we are happy to announce the addition of Dr. Joseph R. Greenberg to our Advisory Board. Dr. Greenberg, the founder of Kids Smiles, brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the area of esthetic/implant restoration and will be a major asset to our peer-review process.
As we move ahead in 2018, our hope is that Compendium will be your most trusted source for dental CE and clinical content—and for expanding your horizons.
Sincerely,
Louis F. Rose, DDS, MD
